People in central Texas were amazed to see what appeared to be a fireball streaking across the sky Sunday morning.
A sheriff's office launched a helicopter search to investigate, but they couldn't find anything.
Later reports suggested it was debris from last week's satellite collision in space.
The FAA says they don't know what it was.
But the US Strategic Command says it is not connected to the satellite collision.
The chief of Russia's mission control says debris from the collision will likely keep circling the Earth for thousands of years.
